Music and heritage will come together again in Porto between the 16th and 19th May.
Porto’s Historic Center was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. It is the oldest part of Porto city and holds unique monumental treasures which date back to Roman, Medieval, the Renaissance, the Barroque and Neoclassical times.
The 2019 edition of IN Spiritum – Porto’s Music Festival, returns to the city to rediscover its historic heritage through music, associating a specific repertoire of music to the unique ambience of each space, thereby providing new readings of the city of Porto.
This musical and historic journey will explore some of the city’s key monumental spaces, where heritage and music fuse together in a varied musical programme, both in style and time period.
