Marrakech (Morocco). This essentially autodidact multi-instrumentalist musician studied at the Conservatorio Superior de Musica de Tetuan, where he got a degree in lute and Andalusian violin under the direction of Telemsaní. Later on he gave masterclasses with maestros Mezuak and Amin Al-Akrami, among others. He has been a member of the Conservatorio Superior de Musica de Tetuan young orchestra, with which he toured his country and abroad. He has taught Andalusian Music Principles at Juan de la Cierva Institute in Teouan. His interest in ancient, ethnic and traditional music has led him to progress in an inexhaustible musical itinerary through different string instruments, such as lute, ud, burr, viola, psaltery and kanun. In 1999 he was invited to the University of Tartu Ancient Music Festival in Estonia, where he gave some lectures and seminars. His artistic career has been enriched with collaborations and recordings for different musical stylesensembles such as Cinco Siglos, Alia Musica, Capella de Ministrers, Estampie, Dufay Colective, Michel Nyman & Chekara Orchestra, Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra, Enrique Morente, Arcángel, Segundo Falcón, Ana L’Ham de Foc, Al Maqam, Samira Kadiri, Tetouan Andalusí Ensemble or the Al Andalus Project. He has also recorded for TVE, Canal Sur and RNE.
Casablanca (Morocco). Oussama studied violin at Conservatorio Superior de Musica de Granada. He has developed a successful career in the field of Andalusian early music, Arabic classical music and flamenco. He has also studied with maestro Fathi Benyakoub and has a degree in Arabic Classical Music. He has been part of Tetouan Youth Orchestra as well. He has performed in Cordoba Noches Flamencas series, in the Arabic Flamenco International Workshop, organized by the Casa Arabe in Cordoba, and in several festivals with Encuentros-multaka Ensemble. He has also recorded for different labels.
Tetouan (Morocco). Mouhssine began his lute and violin studies at Conservatorio de Musica de Tetuan, but right away he discovered his true vocation: percussion instruments. Then he studied with maestro Chekara and at the same time he attended masterclasses and workshops to help him develop his technique and skills. A versatile musician, he has worked with different ensembles and orchestras both in Morocco and Spain, where he has been invited to take part in many Andalusian music, ancient music and flamenco music festivals.
